Cermark® laser marking sprays & pastes Solvent-based for easy handling before marking

Cermark metal marking pastes & sprays allow most metals to be marked using a CO 2 laser engraver. Similar to TherMark liquids, the Cermark products contain a hardener that allows the products to be easily handled prior to marking with your laser. The final result is the same permanent black marks on a range of bare metals. Good for CO 2 lasers, 25W and above.

Substrate Versatility • LMM-6000: Specifically formulated for bare metals (stainless steel, aluminum, brass, etc.). It generally does not work on glass or ceramics. • Cermark Ultra: A universal formula. It works on metals, glass, glazed/unglazed ceramics, porcelain, slate, and brick. It essentially combines the capabilities of LMM-6000 (metal) and LMC-6044 (glass/ceramic). Performance and Marking Speed • LMM-6000: Known for producing the darkest possible black on stainless steel. It typically requires slower laser speeds and higher power to bond correctly. • Cermark Ultra: Can be marked at much higher speeds (sometimes up to 100% speed on mid-range CO 2 lasers). While it produces a high-contrast dark mark, some users find that LMM-6000 still yields a slightly “truer” or deeper black on certain stainless steels. Application and Handling • Anti-Clogging: Cermark Ultra features an improved valve and nozzle design. Unlike LMM-6000, you don’t need to store the Ultra cans upside down to prevent the tip from clogging. • Settling: The Ultra formula is designed to resist “hard settling” (where the solid material cakes at the bottom of the can or jar). It stays in suspension better and is easier to mix or shake up. • Sensitive Metals: Cermark Ultra is formulated to be “safer” for sensitive metals like copper and brass, reducing the risk of tarnishing or staining the substrate during the bonding process. Which should you choose? • Choose LMM-6000: If you only work with metal and require the absolute maximum black density for industrial certifications or high-spec parts. • Choose Cermark Ultra: If you want one product that covers almost every hard surface, or if you want to increase your throughput by running your laser at higher speeds.
